Barry J Trout

Managing Director

Prior to founding MedicalExplorer.com, Barry was a Project Leader with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Sydney where he won the 'Ambassador' scholarship awarded to the top consultant in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to BCG, Barry ran the Yen Bond trading desk at Union Bank of Switzerland in London and spent three years with strategic consultancy Oliver Wyman and Co in London and New York. Barry has completed an internship in Foreign Exchange trading with JP Morgan in London.

Barry holds a BA (Honours) degree in Economics from Durham University and a Master in Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, where he was elected President of his Class. Barry studied Entrepreneurship at The Anderson School, University of California at Los Angeles as part of his MBA.

Barry founded MedicalExplorer.com because he believes everyone should have access to high quality healthcare. During the course of his travels, studies and work in more than 40 countries, Barry realized the possibilities for cross-border healthcare travel and an associated improvement in global healthcare standards.

Helene Patounas

Marketing Manager

Helene has over eight years international marketing experience in both commercial and not-for-profit environments. She has worked on developing and implementing global marketing strategies for various multinational brands, including Black & Decker and DeWalt. Helene's main responsibilities have been Formula 1 Sponsorship, Brand Management, Event Management, Corporate Hospitality, PR and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Helene holds a BA (Honours) degree in International Business with French and German from Aston University where she was elected President of the Students' Union. Helene is fluent in English, French and German and conversational in Spanish.

Andrew Donnelly

Finance Advisor

Andrew founded and served on the Board of investment firm Braxton Chase Pty Ltd as CEO and Executive Director. Andrew also has interests in funds manager WhiteRock International and boutique private equity firm Braxton Capital, providing early stage advisory services and capital to start-up ventures.

Andrew holds a BA (Honours) degree from Durham University and a Master in Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, where he lectures MBA students on raising capital and building teams for growing businesses.

Dr. Craig Collie

Medical Advisor

Craig has practiced Accident and Emergency medicine in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. He currently works at the Boston Consulting Group where he specializes in healthcare and financial services. Craig obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago and his Master in Business Administration from the Judge School of Business at Cambridge University.

Dr. Lynsey Farrell

Medical Advisor

Lynsey obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) from Leeds University in England. She has been practicing general dentistry 9 years. She currently works for a private health insurance firm and is the Senior Clinician and Practice Manager for a busy multi-surgery private dental practice.

Gaurav Gupta

Emerging Markets Advisor

Gaurav is a Director and co-founder of the Climate Project-India. Prior to returning to India, Gaurav spent six years with The Boston Consulting Group in London and Australia. At BCG he helped found the Cape York Institute, a leading Think Tank on Australian indigenous policy. Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Masters in International and Development Economics from Yale University.

Brett Hames

Non-executive Director

Brett is an international risk consultant and has visited more than 60 countries. He spent six years at a leading London-based international risk consultancy, managing a significant part of its business intelligence work in Western Europe before setting up an office in South Africa. Brett holds a BA (Honours) in Modern Languages from Durham University and is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Chris Withers

General Counsel

Chris is a barrister and member of the Supreme Courts of the United States, New York and England and Wales. He has practiced law with New York City law firm Davis Polk & Wardell and London firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours, First Class) from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Civil Laws from Oxford University.
